Cam Robinson

Offensive Tackle, Alabama Crimson Tide

The Seahawks are facing an interesting point in their competitive window. Plenty of their key pieces are young such as Russell Wilson, Kam Chancellor and Earl Thomas, while other including Jimmy Graham, Richard Sherman and Michael Bennett are nearing the end of their prime seasons. Seattle was loudly bounced from the playoffs by the Falcons, and while there are a few weak spots on the roister, the most obvious problem lies in front of Wilson.

General manager John Schneider has to figure out the offensive line, which was arguably the worst in football last year. It’s not a stretch to say the unit that allowed 42 sacks could have surrendered 55 without such a mobile quarterback behind it. Cam Robinson was dominant in the SEC with the Crimson Tide and projects to be a quality ackle in the NFL. If he can showcase better footwork and consistent mechanics, it’s likely he lands on the left side and gives Wilson blindside help. Regardless, Schneider needs to add ample options to the line and find a combination that works. Otherwise, the Seahawks will be a quick out in the postseason once more.
