After winning only three games in 2015, the Tennessee Titans took a massive leap forward last season, going 9-7. The team that lost out on the AFC South title via tiebreaker now has a pair of picks in the first round, and should be able to add another vital piece or two. In this vein, the Titans desperately need to upgrade the secondary and can do so with Jamal Adams. While Malik Hooker would likely argue otherwise, Adams is the best safety in the draft and justifiably draws comparisons to Eric Berry. For the record, Berry was also drafted fifth-overall out of the SEC.
Tennessee could also aim to add a pass-rusher here, but Adams is the best player available and fits a considerable need. Titans general manager Jon Robinson did add Logan Ryan in free agency, shoring up one cornerback spot. Unfortunately, the safety play behind him would be rough without a considerable upgrade, one that Adams represents. With the Houston Texans looking at another year without a quality quarterback, Marcus Mariota and Co. have a real chance to reach the playoffs for the first time since 2008. The franchise has not won a postseason game since 2003.
