Forrest Lamp

OT, Western Kentucky

First-year head coach Adam Gase expected some struggles in his first campaign with the Dolphins, but he had much more success than anyone could have expected. Led by quarterback Ryan Tannehill, the Dolphins were one of the best teams in football during the middle part of the season, riding a six-game wining streak to earn one of the Wild Card spots. Tannehill was hurt down the stretch, and the Dolphins lost in the Wild Card Round, but it has to be considered a step in the right direction.

For Miami, they need to continue to bolster the offensive line, and Forrest Lamp from Western Kentucky is a good looking prospect. He has the size and power to be a left tackle in the NFL, though he may actually be better suited on the right side. Still, Miami has some good young offensive talent, including running back Jay Ajayi, so keeping the offensive line a plus has got to be a priority.

The AFC East has been owned by the New England Patriots for the last 15 seasons, but the Dolphins always seem to give them trouble. The Dolphins may have found a gem in Adam Gase, and with a good, young roster, they should continue to grow as a team. Another Wild Card is not out of the question, and drafting a player like Lamp can only be seen as a positive.
