Jamal Adams

S, LSU

The Chicago Bears were another team who could have added a quarterback this year, but we feel they are going to go another route. The team said goodbye to Jay Cutler this offseason, opting to go with Mike Glennon as their signal-caller in 2017. That leaves the door open for the team to take a quarterback in next year’s draft, where there will be no shortage of franchise-caliber players at that position.

With their pick in 2017, we like the Bears to do something to strengthen their secondary. Safety Jamal Adams of LSU is arguably the best defensive back in this draft class, and some believe he may actually be the best pure football player. He is going to start right away in Chicago, and with him manning the back of the field, they should be able to do a better job against the pass next season.

Every scout likes Adams, as he has not only the skill to be a great player in the NFL, but he is also one of the high-character guys in this draft class. As far as his abilities, he is a ball-hawking safety who is not afraid to come up and make the big hit. The Bears fans love defensive players who bring it on every play, and there would be no-one disappointed in the Windy City if the team decides to grab Adams at No. 3.
