DraftKings Daily picks: Fantasy baseball lineup – April 28
Second Basemen
High Salary Option
Robinson Cano ($4,500): While Carrasco figures to fare well against the Mariners tonight, a pothole along the way could be Cano, who has ripped him one-on-one in his career. Cano will bring a .429 lifetime average against the righty into the game, with half of those hits coming in the form of a double or home run.
High Value Option
Starlin Castro ($3,500): I continue to enjoy the daily low cost of Castro during his recent hot streak. He is hitting .342 over his last 10 games, while producing 9 points per contest. He’ll draw Orioles’ starter Kevin Gausman tonight, who has struggled early on, thus giving Castro a chance to continue to thrive tonight.
Rank Em:
- Cano
- Ian Kinsler ($4,200)
- Brian Dozier ($4,300)
- Castro
- Josh Harrison ($3,400)

Shortstop
High Salary Option
Francisco Liriano ($4,600): Liriano just continues to create awe with the wide spanning ability he shows at the plate. A day after hitting a prodigious 450+ foot homer to spark a victory over the Astros, he’ll set his sights on young Mariners’ starter Angel Miranda. The young southpaw has a big chance to get exposed against the Indians lineup, specifically the switch-hitting Liriano, who is hitting .364 at home on the year.
High Value Option
Alcides Escobar ($3,200): Even the lightest hitting Royals have a chance today, such is the case with Escobar. If you are really, really looking to save at shortstop and use that cap room to fuel a search elsewhere, go with Escobar. He carries a .353 lifetime average against Gibson and could be a regular along the basepaths.
Rank Em:
- Liriano
- Corey Seager ($4,300)
- Carlos Correa ($4,700)
- Trea Turner ($5,600)
- Aledmys Diaz ($4,100)
