The Celtics blew out the Bulls in Game 6 in Chicago on Friday night, and advanced to the Conference Semifinals against the Wizards. Here’s how Twitter reacted.

The Boston Celtics seemed down and out of the series as they lost their first two games of the first round at home against the Chicago Bulls.

Isaiah Thomas was still feeling the effects of the passing of his sister, the team couldn’t control the glass against Robin Lopez in Games 1 and 2, and everything seemed to be falling apart. But, somehow, Celtics head coach Brad Stevens worked the same magic that got his team the top seed, reworked his lineup, and led the team to a four-game win streak to finish off the Bulls.

The team won by 22 in Game 6 in Chicago, and now will go on to face the Washington Wizards in the Conference Semifinals, while the Cleveland Cavaliers and Toronto Raptors do battle on the other side of the bracket.

The Bulls gave the Celtics a run for their money in the first few games, but the Celtics absolutely ran away with the game on Friday. Obviously, Twitter had a real field day with the blowout, and many celebrated the Celtics advancement to the next round in different ways. Between creative reactions from everyone from former Celtics legend Kevin Garnett to Bill Simmons, social media wasn’t lacking on Friday night.

The Celtics start their next series with the Washington Wizards in the conference finals on Sunday. The game will be broadcast on ABC at 1 P.M. just one day removed from Isaiah Thomas’s sister funeral, as the Celtics look to utilize their home-court advantage, unlike in the first round.

The two teams split their season series 2-2, and will surely give fans a series to remember in the second round.
