Darren Young and Dana Warrior joined students at a Chicago middle school to raise money for Red Nose Day.

On Thursday, April 27, WWE Superstar Darren Young and WWE Ambassador Dana Warrior, became the latest in a long line of celebrities to join forces with the Comic Relief fundraising event known as Red Nose Day. The event is well-known across the country as the event that sees participants put their “Noses On”, and this year will be no different.

The pair visited Elm Place Middle School in Highland Park, outside of Chicago, to take part in a school wide assembly as part of the Red Nose Day in School program. The aim of the program is to help students learn about child poverty, how it impacts kids just like them and how they can help to change the fortunes of others across the U.S and around the world.

"Red Nose Day has given our students a great opportunity to learn about child poverty in an engaging way. It was amazing to see the students being so enthusiastic and creative about how they can fundraise and take direct action to make a difference for kids in need. It’s been such a great experience to host Dana, Darren, and the Red Nose Day team at our school today. –Heather Schumacher, Principal of the Elm Place Middle School."

Darren Young and Dana Warrior joined the students at Elm Place in several fun ways to raise money for the good cause, including donating to Comic Relief so they could pie a teacher in the face. The two WWE Superstars were used as an inspiration to the children of Elm Place, and the pair joined in with donning their Red Noses to join in the fun.

"Red Nose Day is all about coming together to have fun and make a difference. Our mission is to end child poverty – one nose at a time. With the support of schools and students across the country, Red Nose Day will be able to change and save more children’s lives than ever before. It was amazing to see the students at Elm Place Middle School getting in on the fun of Red Nose Day, and being so committed to making a difference. –Rick Scott, VP Grants and Philanthropy, Comic Relief Inc."

This year Red Nose Day will be held on May 25, with the students of Elm Place Middle School being used as part of the organisation’s website and social media to inspire other schools around the country to join in the fundraising efforts to make a difference.
