3. Gerald Green is now an NBA starter

A day that no NBA fan thought would come has officially arrived: Gerald Green has solidified himself as a starter in the NBA — for the time being.

In Game 3, Brad Stevens, head coach of the Boston Celtics, replaced Amir Johnson with Gerald Green in the starting lineup and never looked back. Green brought the energy and a thrilling personality to the C’s starting five. You never know what Green is going to do next, and that is what makes him so fun to watch. Though he is inconsistent at times, the Celtics have the pieces to work around his mistakes.

In Game 4, Green scored 18 points and snagged 7 rebounds in 23 minutes of action. The impressive part of that stat line is that he shot 44.4 percent on 3-pointers. Green is known for his inconsistent shooting, but if he can bring the same shooting ability and energy into the second round the Celtics should have no problem controlling the Wizards.
