Taywan Taylor

Wide Receiver, Western Kentucky

The Titans knew their holes at wide receiver and hit the spot early and often. Taylor is a great possession receiver and should thrive in a role with Marcus Mariota. He is quick and capable of getting himself open in the short game and over the middle. Mariota has the accuracy to hit him in stride and can make things happen with the ball in his hands. Tajae Sharpe got some hype as a rookie last year, but his role is going to take a substantial shift and drop thanks to what the Titans were able to accomplish in this draft.

Jonnu Smith

Tight End, Florida International

Smith is most certainly more of a receiving threat than a stud tight end. However, Delanie Walker is a great blocking tight end and the Titans ran a ton of two tight end sets last season. While they lost Anthony Fasano, and he was a better blocker than Walker, moving Walker into more of a blocking role to get Smith out there is a pass catcher should not be an issue. The Titans successfully added three pass catchers, and all three can play different spots and fit into the skill set of Marcus Mariota and the Titans offense. It was a solid early haul for the Titans.
