WWE Payback 2017 results: Roman Reigns vs Braun Strowman video highlights

Braun Strowman and Roman Reigns engaged in an absolute brawl in the main event of WWE Payback 2017.

With Roman Reigns basically being down to one arm against Braun Strowman at WWE Payback, he had to use his smarts early. After sending Strowman over the top rope to begin the match, the massive individual began to make the former champion pay.

Strowman would plant Reigns right on the announce table and would proceed to give him some hard kicks right in the middle of the ring. From the beginning, Reigns appeared to be the broken man among the bunch, as Strowman aimed to punish him.

Back outside, Strowman continued to focus every bit of damage right to Reigns’ injured shoulder. He continued to be sent shoulder first into the steel steps and the monster’s path of destruction appeared to have no end in sight.

Strowman would try some pin attempts after his massive shots, but the injured superstar managed to kick out. Remarkably, Reigns used every bit of power he had to lift Strowman straight in the air, despite having close to nothing left.

After planting the big man, Reigns tried to cover him for the pin but he couldn’t secure the victory. With the duo rolling outside, Reigns hit Strowman with the drive-by. As he went for a spear as a followup, the 385-pound giant caught him and threw him against the post.

The official immediately began counting as Strowman was on the outside motionless. He would roll back into save himself, but he walked right into a spear from Reigns after missing a clothesline.

Two straight superman punches brought Strowman down to one knee. As he went for another, he would test fate too many times and would be caught, as Braun hit a powerslam. Roman somehow managed to get the shoulder up to the shock of his adversary. One more running powerslam from Strowman and he finally put Reigns down clean.

With the match over and Strowman holding the win, he decided he wanted to punish him some more. He threw steel steps into the ring and threw Reigns right on top of his injured shoulder and ribs. One more shot from the steel steps crushed the fallen Reigns and Strowman left with his arms held high.
