Myles Gaskin

RB, Washington

Finishing up our 2018 NFL Mock Draft is the New England Patriots, who many believe will be the favorite to win the Super Bowl once again next season. The Patriots made a bunch of savvy offseason moves, and find themselves in better shape then they were last season at this time. Recently, the team signed former Buffalo Bills running back Mike Gillislee to a two-year deal, but they should look to add more depth there next April.

Myles Gaskin is a fantastic running back for the Washington Huskies, and surprisingly decided to return to school for his senior season in 2017. He does a little bit of everything, and has nice hands out of the backfield. He would fit what the Patriots like to do on offense because he is a guy who can get tough yards in the middle, while also playing a big role in the passing game. He is a winner, who plays the game with incredible passion.

Repeating as a Super Bowl champion is extremely hard, so the odds are it will be someone else closing out the first round. The Patriots also like to trade away their draft picks, so this pick could also be a team making their second first round pick. If the Pats do hang on to the pick, Myles Gaskin is a nice player, and has the kind of respect for the game that Belichick will only tolerate.
