15. Baltimore Orioles (Home)

When the St. Louis Browns moved to Baltimore and became the Orioles, the team used a lifelike bird logo that on its cap, which stayed for the first decade. After just one season of wearing an orange B on their caps, the Orioles went back to a bird that was similar but slightly different than the original 1954 logo. However, from Day 1, Baltimore used a cartoon bird as an alternate logo, which evolved until the team added a cartoon bird head to its cap 1966 similar to the one in use today.

The O’s wore the cartoon bird for nearly three decades before making the switch to a more lifelike bird in 1989, which was used (with some minor tweaks along the way) until 2012 when the cartoon bird returned, much to the delight of baseball fans everywhere.

Baltimore never looked bad with a lifelike Oriole logo, but the current version just seems right and put the final touches on a very sharp uniform set. Black and orange can be a difficult combination, but the Orioles have done it right more often than not since moving to Baltimore 63 years ago.

The team has some decent-looking alternates as well. The orange alternate jersey the team wears most Saturdays is one of the best alternate tops in the major leagues, and the Friday black jersey looks pretty good also. However, neither comes close to the everyday whites, which give the Orioles one of the best current uniform sets in all of baseball.
