Second Basemen

High Salary Option

Robinson Cano ($4,200): Cano is hitting .400 lifetime against Angels starter Ricky Nolasco in his career, and has mixed in a couple of homers for good measure. It’s not a fantastic day for the top options on the board from a salary standpoint, so go with an old faithful option in Robby.

High Value Option

Ben Zobrist ($3,900): Phillies starter Jerad Eickhoff has struggled against lefties, and should provide for a nice launching board for Zobrist and the Cubs today. The vast majority of his power comes from the left side of the plate and could get a nice bump from being in Wrigley for this matchup as well.

Rank Em:

  1. Cano
  2. Jose Ramirez ($4,100)
  3. Dustin Pedroia ($4,100)
  4. Zobrist
  5. Kolten Wong ($3,000)

Shortstop

High Salary Option

Carlos Correa ($4,800): Nick Martinez is a primary fastball pitcher who could be prone to serving up some prime opportunities for Correa today. He has been hitting the gaps well of late, and has the signs of an elite talent that is on the verge of a breakout. This could be the day, and with it being a slim pickings day at shortstop, he’s a nice beg to hedge on.

High Value Option

Freddy Galvis ($3,200): Galvis has been hot of late, and has been flashing the power that he so surprisingly debuted last year. Jake Arrieta is a tough pitcher down in the zone, but Galvis is the best of a so-so lower priced shortstop group today.

Rank Em

  1. Correa
  2. Francisco Lindor ($4,500)
  3. Xander Bogaerts ($4,400)
  4. Corey Seager ($3,900)
  5. Elvis Andrus ($3,800)
