4. Kevin De Bruyne, Manchester City

Another player than can be one of the best players in the world when he is on his game, Kevin De Bruyne is electric to watch. Currently leading the Premier League in assists, he’s a key cog in Manchester City’s attack.

De Bruyne is a do-it-all attacker. He can score goals when needed, (four this season in the Premier League) execute a counter-attacking or possession style of game plan, and set up his teammates in the best possible positions to score. He also defends from the front as well as any attacking midfielder in the league.

His biggest asset, however, has to be his vision. De Bruyne can pick up a pass in midfield and completely re-figure the oppositions defense with one long ball, just like he did against Arsenal this season.

Pep Guardiola asks his players to take on many forms and play in multiple positions. Having a player like De Bruyne in the club makes his job of squad selection just a bit easier. The Belgian can play anywhere along the front line — including striker when needed — and perform at the same level he does in his preferred position. Someone who can do that and still contribute four goals and 13 assists in the league is invaluable.
