2. Look to sign a solid small forward

Defensively, Luc Mbah A Moute is one of the top in the NBA. However, he doesn’t contribute much on the offensive end. In terms of games, you are able to count on this veteran. He has played in at least 67 games over the last three seasons. Staying on the Clippers will not hurt them, but Los Angeles should look in the direction of a more proven offensive player at this position, if only to offer a different look. Danilo Gallinari is a possible suitor. Gallinari averaged 18 points and 5 rebounds with Denver. His 3-point shooting has always been a big plus could contribute some much needed offense to the Clippers. He does not turn the ball over often and is not afraid to crash the glass. He might be grateful to land with a playoff team.

Another player worth pursuing is Rudy Gay. Although he had season-ending Achilles surgery, Gay will be ready for next season. He may be a little pricy ($13 million-plus) however the Clippers should attempt playing with different pieces. Toronto’s P.J. Tucker plays superb perimeter defense while also actively rebounding throughout the game. Tucker will not cost as much and has years still ahead. All in all, the Clippers have some options to play with this summer in terms of the small forward position.
