DraftKings fantasy golf picks: The PLAYERS Championship 2017
$8,000 – $9,000
Justin Thomas ($8,900): This is a bit of a risk for the price, but Thomas at his best has a chance to win at Sawgrass. He finished third at The PLAYERS a year ago, though, and was still struggling with the same type of inconsistency that he’s displayed thus far this year. If you’re feeling lucky, this risk could pay off big.
Brooks Koepka ($8,600): Koepka has earned the label of being a streaky player at times in his young career and that’s proven true thus far in 2017. He started off abysmally, but has come on strong in his last three outings (T11 at The Masters, second at the Valero Texas Open, and pairing up with his brother for a T5 at the Zurich). He’s in great form right now and should be able to take Sawgrass on well.
Kevin Chappell ($8,500): Chappell is another nice flier coming into The PLAYERS. He started off 2017 poorly, but was strong at The Masters with a tied-seventh finish and then won the Valero Texas Open. Again, he’s risky, but he’s in nice form as he heads into this weekend.
Adam Scott ($8,400): Scott didn’t play as well as we’d hoped at the Wells Fargo, which had a similar emphasis on ball-striking. With that said, Scott has historically been quite good at The PLAYERS and that shouldn’t change this time around if you want a safe option at this DraftKings price.
Pat Perez ($8,100): Perez struck the ball exceptionally well throughout the Wells Fargo, good enough for him to earn a tied-second finish last week. That bodes well for him as he’s had a number of solid top-20 showings already. At this price on DraftKings, I like the value a lot.
