5 players who should have been on Madden 18 cover
By John Buhler
If EA Sports wants to sell more copies of Madden 18 than McDonald’s will sell hamburgers this calendar year, there was only one choice to put on the cover. Brady was a good selection in all honesty, but he doesn’t play for the Dallas Cowboys.
Second-year quarterback Dak Prescott does play for the Cowboys and at least one semi-friend you kind of tolerate is an obnoxious Cowboys fan. If Prescott was on the cover of Madden NFL 18, Cowboys fans would line up around the block from GameStop, camp out for at least a week to have a chance to purchase the game the instant it becomes open for the public to buy.
The Cowboys went 13-3 in Prescott’s first year as an NFL starting quarterback. Dallas earned the No. 1 overall seed in the NFC Playoffs, but lost at home to the Packers in the divisional round on a last-second field goal by Mason Crosby.

Could Prescott succumb to The Madden Curse as part of the sophomore slump? Possibly, but that’s all the more reason he needs to be on the cover. The kid has a great head on his shoulders, as Dallas seems to be in good hands at the quarterback position for the next decade. Since a Tony Romo Madden cover is no longer possible, this is easily the next best thing.
