4. Miami Heat

Trading for Anthony could certainly be an option for the Heat if they miss out on some of the big names in free agency, such as Gordon Hayward. Miami Heat president Pat Riley is not afraid to make bold moves if it could help the team win. The Heat also have a slew of young players to pull of a deal, and are projected to have a ton of cap space this off season.

Miami finished last season at 41-41, and that was after starting the season at 11-30. Many were surprised that the Heat were able to compete with the roster they put together last season, so adding a player who has averaged 24.8 points per game for his career can get them to the next level.

It’s a testament to the Heat’s front office and coaching staff that has proven they can win with anyone, and imagine what they can do for Anthony if he is dealt there. Anthony would almost certainly accept a trade to Miami, for the weather alone, and the Knicks could get some good young players such as Tyler Johnson, Justice Winslow, or Josh Richardson. Miami’s draft pick will come into play, as it is projected to be a late lottery pick, which will not help the Heat compete right away.

Riley always seems to put Miami into contention of competing for a title each season, so they will almost certainly be looking to add talent to their roster via free agency, or trade.
