Los Angeles Angels: Mike Trout

By the end of the first half of the 2017 season, Mike Trout should be the all-time leader for the Angels franchise in career WAR. He currently sits at 50.5, less than two behind leader Chuck Finley. Trout is only in his sixth full season in the big leagues, but he is already an all-time great worthy of inclusion on this list.

Trout could legitimately have won five AL MVP awards by now instead of two were it not for old-school voters. He has batted .307/.406/.562 with 185 doubles, 176 home runs, 518 RBI, and 148 steals. Trout seems to toy with the rest of the league, and gives off the vibe that he is capable of doing whatever he wants to on a baseball field.

The Angels center fielder really is the modern-day reincarnation of Mickey Mantle, but with better defense and speed on the bases. He already has three 30-steal seasons, and has not lost speed while adding muscle mass to hit for more power. Trout is a virtual lock for nearly 40 doubles, 40 home runs, 30 steals and a .300/.400/.500 slash line. He is the best baseball player to come along in quite some time.

Honorable Mention: Nolan Ryan, Chuck Finley, Tim Salmon
