$9,000 – $10,000

Louis Oosthuizen ($9,700): In all his bearded glory, Louis Ooszthuizen was in contention all weekend at THE PLAYERS, firing off a first round 69 and following it up with a blistering 66 on Friday. He went with a pair of 73s on Saturday and Sunday, but was still in close for the lead. Oosthuizen ultimately finished tied for second. Though that’s his best finish of the season, the South African has been a cut-making machine in 2017. And with the windy and potentially rainy conditions that could be present at the Byron Nelson, you have to like the way he played at THE PLAYERS.

Patrick Reed ($9,400): After a forgettable three-straight missed cuts at the Shell Houston Open, The Masters and Valero Texas Open, Patrick Reed seems to have himself back on track. He finished tied for 12th at the Wells Fargo and then followed that up with a consistent, if not unspectacular, T22 at THE PLAYERS. With a strong showing at the Zurich Classic as well, he’s primed to start making noise. Let’s hope he can keep that form going in Irving, TX where there are signs he’ll be ready to attack and play well.

Tony Finau ($9,200): Without question, you’d like to forget about the stinker that Tony Finau put up at THE PLAYERS. He submitted a 3-over first two rounds and ultimately missed the cut. However, he’s played quite well this season, albeit somewhat inconsistently. Four top-10 finishes is nothing to scoff at that. Meanwhile, neither is two top-15 finishes at the AT&T Byron Nelson. He loves playing in Irving and should be on your radar.
