DraftKings fantasy golf picks: AT&T Byron Nelson 2017
$8,000 – $9,000
Jason Dufner ($8,800): Looking very superficially at Jason Dufner so far this season, you might not see why he’s even in consideration. Yes, he’s been making cuts this season, but no top-10 finishes doesn’t really make anyone feel warm and fuzzy inside. However, Dufner has four top-15 finishes so far this year and only three finishes out of 10 tournaments played (registered by DraftKings, sorry Zurich), where he’s not been in the top 25. What’s more, he’s a past winner at the Byron Nelson.
Charley Hoffman ($8,500): Charley Hoffman had registered two top-five finishes through March and there were high hopes heading into the spring and summer. Since then, his best finish is just a T22 at The Masters. He’s been solid, though, and played well at the Byron Nelson one year ago with a top-15 showing.
Brandt Snedeker ($8,400): Though you’d like to see at least 9-of-10 instead of 8-of-10 on made cuts from Brandt Snedeker this year, he was playing quite well overall before getting hurt at The Masters. He has four top-10s this year and hasn’t finished outside the top 30 when he’s made the cut. Supposedly back to healthy, he’s a great play this weekend.
Russell Henley ($8,300): Russell Henley was a hot name coming into THE PLAYERS, but didn’t really deliver outside of a second round 68. However, he has a T11 finish at The Masters, a win at the Shell Houston Open, another top-10 finish, and 9-of-10 cuts made this season working for him. He has a lot working for him coming into the AT&T Byron Nelson.
Charl Schwartzel ($8,100): Three missed cuts, including at THE PLAYERS, doesn’t look great for Charl Schwartzel. However, he’s been showing incredibly high upside this season as well. In three of his five made cuts this year, he’s finished in the top six. He’s definitely a high-risk, high-reward play, but the reward is very, very high.
