Yes, it is the time of the year where hardcore hoops heads get overly excited about the whimsical world of ping-pong balls. That’s right, the 2017 NBA Draft Lottery is upon us.
The 2017 NBA Draft Lottery will be on Tuesday, May 16. It begins at 8:00 p.m. ET at the New York Hilton Midtown in New York City. ESPN will have the national broadcast of this fine media spectacle. The available live streams for the the lottery can be seen on WatchESPN or FuboTV.
14 NBA organizations will have their shot on Tuesday night to land the highly coveted No. 1 overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft. This draft projects to be a deeper one and frankly a better one than last year. The position group to keep an eye on this year is point guard.
Teams like the Brooklyn Nets, the Phoenix Suns, the Los Angeles Lakers and the Philadelphia 76ers have the best chance at winning the NBA Draft Lottery. However, Brooklyn will have to concede its lottery pick to the Boston Celtics because of Boston’s rights to a first-round pick swap. Los Angeles only has a 46.9 percent chance of keeping its first-round pick, as it is only top-three protected. Otherwise, it will end up going to the 76ers.
