Curley Culp, DL
As a punishing defensive tackle, Curley Culp helped the Kansas City Chiefs win Super Bowl IV. Culp earned NFL Defensive Player of the Year honors in 1975 with the Houston Oilers, and was a five-time Pro Bowler in 14 pro seasons. Though sacks did not become an official NFL statistic until 1982 — the year following Culp’s retirement — he has been credited with 68 career sacks.
Mike Haynes, DB
Drafted No. 5 overall by the New England Patriots in 1976, Mike Haynes made an immediate impact by winning NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year honors. Haynes would go on to nine Pro Bowls in 14 seasons split between the Patriots and Los Angeles Raiders, with whom he won Super Bowl XVIII.
John Henry Johnson, FB
A dynamic running back early in his career with the 49ers, John Henry Johnson was an All-Pro and Pro Bowler as a rookie in 1954, but spent two lackluster seasons in San Francisco and three in Detroit before eventually landing with the Steelers, the team that originally drafted him. Johnson was an All-Pro three times in Pittsburgh and surpassed 1,000 rushing yards twice with the team.
Randall McDaniel, OL
A key member of the first Sun Devils squad to play in the Rose Bowl, Randall McDaniel was a first round pick by the Minnesota Vikings in 1988, and spent 12 years with the franchise, which included 11 Pro Bowl selections and nine consecutive All-Pro performances from 1990-98. McDaniel was also a Pro Bowler in one of his two seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Charley Taylor, WR
A two-time All-American as a two-way player at Arizona State, Charley Taylor blossomed into an eight-time Pro Bowl receiver. Taylor spent his entire 14-year NFL career in Washington and amassed 9,110 receiving yards, 79 receiving touchdowns and 11 rushing TDs from 1964-77.
