Eagles Get
2018 5th Round Pick
Texans Get
Tight End Brent Celek

The Philadelphia Eagles rolled the dice last offseason, trading up to select quarterback Carson Wentz with the No. 2 overall pick. That trade led to them having no first round pick until they traded Sam Bradford to the Minnesota Vikings after Teddy Bridgewater went down due to an injury. They have to be happy with the move, as Wentz played well as a rookie, starting all 16 games.

As they head into this season, they have shored up a ton of holes on the offense. They brought in Alshon Jeffery and Torrey Smith to bolster the wide receiving corps, and recently added LeGarrette Blount to their backfield. They also have two strong tight ends, but they may want to move one of them to grab a draft pick in 2018.

The 2018 NFL Draft class should be solid, and having as many picks as possible has to be a priority. Brent Celek is a fantastic tight end, but he is firmly behind Zach Ertz on the depth chart. Having two solid tight ends is definitely a luxury, but the Houston Texans may be willing to offer up a draft pick in order to add depth to a position manned by C.J. Fiedorowicz right now.

Both of these teams have the talent to be in the postseason this season, and can both benefit from this trade. The Texans need all the weapons they can get, as their quarterback position in up in the air right now. The Eagles appear ready to soar in 2017, and are building a lasting roster of talent.
