One trade every NFL team needs to make
By Brad Weiss
The Pittsburgh Steelers did a nice job in 2016 on both sides of the ball, playing well enough to make it all the way to the AFC Championship Game. However, their showing in the AFC title game left not much to be desired, as the New England Patriots dominated the entire way. Still, they have some of the best talent in the league coming back this season, including quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, who flirted with the notion of retirement early in the offseason.
The Steelers should be one of the better teams in the conference once again this season, and do not have to do much to improve the roster this summer. One area they could look to make a move is in the secondary, where they could move one of their safeties for a draft pick in 2018. Robert Golden is a nice player, and the team may be able to find a trade partner with the Atlanta Falcons.
The Falcons could use the help in the secondary, and would likely be willing to part with a late-round draft pick next April. The trade would give the Steelers another opportunity to grab some young talent, as their roster is starting to get up there in age. There is a short window for this team to win another title with Big Ben, and the more talent they can bring in the better.
Look for both of these teams to make a run next season, as this came close to being the Super Bowl matchup last season. Big Ben is back, and so are the rest of the Killer B’s, including Martavis Bryant, who missed all of last season due to suspension.
