49ers Get
Wide Receiver Eli Rogers
Steelers Get
2018 3rd Round Pick

The Pittsburgh Steelers are rich when it comes to wide receiving talent, and they got even richer this offseason. Not only are they going to get Martavis Bryant back from suspension this season, but they also went out and drafted USC star wideout JuJu Smith-Schuster with their second round pick. Ben Roethlisberger will have no shortage of weapons when the Steelers open up the 2017 campaign, as they look to rebound off a bad loss in the AFC Championship Game.

One team not so rich at the position is the San Francisco 49ers, who did a nice job bringing in defensive talent this offseason. If they are willing to give away one of their three third round picks in next April’s draft, they should look to trade with the Steelers for a player like Eli Rogers. Rogers is a fantastic talent, though with the logjam at the position, he won’t have much of an opportunity to shine next season with the Steelers.

With San Francisco, Rogers would be a top one, or two wide out, giving the team some good young talent at the position. This is an organization on the upswing, and a player of Rogers caliber would be given a ton of looks in their offense. The 2017 season is not going to be a good one for the 49ers, but they are definitely building for the next two, or three years.

Rogers would cost the 49ers at least a third round pick, as he is young enough to be a difference maker in the league someday. As stated earlier, the 49ers have those picks, and their general manager is good enough to make the right decisions when it comes to  trades. This one would make sense.
