Bayern have already wrapped up the Bundesliga title, but their opponents on Saturday, Freiburg, are still fighting for a Europa League spot next season. Freiburg enter the game in sixth but are just two points ahead of Koln and three points ahead of Werder Bremen.

In match day 33, Bayern defeated Leipzig in one of the best games of the season. Leipzig scored in the second minute when Marcel Sabitzer finished an Emil Forsberg cross. Robert Lewandowski scored from the spot after a handball. Leipzig regained the lead after Forsberg was brought down in the box and Timo Werner converted the penalty. Two minutes into the second half Yussuf Poulsen made it 3-1 but Bayern closed the lead with a Thiago goal. Werner’s second made it 4-2 but Lewandowski’s second again cut the lead to one. In injury time, David Alaba tied the game with a sensational free-kick. Right before the whistle Arjen Robben cut in and scored the winner.

Freiburg drew with Ingolstadt in their previous game. Maximilian Philipp scored his ninth of the season to open the scoring. However, Ingolstadt tied the game after a beautiful run by Marcel Tisserand through the Freiburg defense. Alexander Schwolow stopped the initial shot but Dario Lezcano scored on the rebound.
