No. 3 – Fabian Franklin

The running back recruiting scene steps out of the state of Alabama but you don’t have to travel too far to find the next talented recruit. Fabian Franklin is the No. 3 best running back available in the class of 2018. He is a 5-foot-11, 200-pound recruit from Hattiesburg High School in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. He is listed as a four-star recruit who is the No. 155 player in the class of 2018 and the No. 1 player in the state of Mississippi.

Franklin is a big-time recruit with some big-time scholarship offers. He currently has seven offers and they are all from powerhouse programs. The teams who have offered him are Alabama, Georgia, Michigan, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, TCU and Tennessee.

247Sports has LSU landing Franklin but the recruitment seems wide open at this point. Ole Miss and Mississippi State have to be in the running as well, considering the location. Look for Alabama to be out of the race because of the coach recruiting him, Lane Kiffin, is not there anymore.

A darkhorse in the Franklin race is Michigan. He was given an offer by the Wolverines on April 15, 2017, and this really caught his attention. They could sneak into this race before it is finished.

Franklin is going to end up deciding between two teams — LSU and Michigan — when it is all said and done. Jim Harbaugh and the Wolverines are going to come into the south and pluck one of the best running backs in the nation out of Mississippi.
