5. Sacramento (from Philadelphia) — Larry Bird

As previously mentioned, the Sacramento Kings are in shambles. The Kings need a winner, somebody who can mentor Buddy Hield and Skal Labissiere and teach them the fine art of fundamental passing.

Enter Larry Bird, legendary passer and second-place finisher in the two-point shooting contest back in the day.

Larry Legend is already a sports legend in both Boston and Indiana, so let’s go ahead and add Sacramento to the list. Bird willed his way to 12 All-Star nods, three rings and three MVP awards in his illustrious 13-year career.

Maybe more than anything else, Bird would give the Kings the edge they need. Bird was a legendary trash-talker, and once played an entire game lefty just for the hell of it. Kings fans deserve to get to watch somebody like that play every night after their long suffering.

Bird averaged 24.3 points, 10.0 rebounds, 6.3 assists and 1.7 steals per game in his playing days, all with the Celtics. Only twice did he score less than 20 points per game in a season, one of them being a six-game year for Bird.

Consistency, attitude and pure skill are all present in spades in Larry Legend. Sacramento has suffered long enough. It’s about time Kings fans had a superstar they actually like.
