19. Kiefer Sutherland

It’s really a bummer that Jack Bauer isn’t a real person, so we have the distinct luxury of getting the next best thing: the guy who played Jack Bauer on 24 in the form of actor Kiefer Sutherland. Sutherland has come a long way from being the son of that Animal House English teacher. Ace Merrill would definitely think so.

Sutherland played the greatest television action star of the 2000s. The dude got stuff done in 24 hours for sure. He knows how many minutes are in a day (1,440) and that every second is precious. Teams like the Minnesota Vikings wouldn’t screw up the NFL Draft for Sutherland. Trust me, you don’t want him to unleash Jack Bauer on you.

Today, Bauer…err….Sutherland is playing some dude that’s trying to play president. He’s not quite Frank Underwood, but he’s trying, the perfect type of effort to be the commissioner of a professional sports league.

Sutherland would bring the right combination of mysteriousness and professionalism to the NFL commissioners office. Basically, he’d be a more reliable version of Anthony Bourdain (the dude gets lost all the time). and would go through money like oxygen like Johnny Depp.
