22. Michael Buffer (Let’s Get Ready to Rumble!)

Emceeing is at least 45 percent of the job of being the NFL commissioner. Being NFL commissioner means that every minute of every day is meticulously planned for the person in charge of the shield. Why not have a guy with a signature catchphrase calling all the shots?

When you hear the phrase, “Let’s get ready to rumble!,” you immediately go into your garage and try to find your long lost favorite cassette of Jock Jams and get fired up. That is precisely when ring-side announcer Michael Buffer needs to be the next NFL commissioner.

As with any industry, there will be people who like to collect checks, do nothing and mail it in. Not on Commissioner Buffer’s watch. Productivity will go to 11 and the NFL office will have never been more efficient. The amount of paperwork and activities that could get done in New York would be incredible.

Every important decision for the NFL to make will be done instantaneously. That’s how productive people can get when they have to hear “Let’s get ready to rumble!” at least 16 times every hour. Will the NFL commissioner’s office be a happy working environment? Absolutely not, but think about the efficiency!
