12. Please don’t fine Chad Ochocinco

Few guys gave the NFL more money for doing fun stuff on the football field more than Chad Ochocinco Johnson. While the Hall of Fame he tailored for himself was definitely not a good look, everything else Ochocinco did on the football field could have been part of an SNL sketch.

Did Ochocinco deserve to be fined by the NFL on most occasions? Absolutely not, but if the money went to charity, the it went to charity and we’d all find a way to be cool with that. Ochocinco was making football fun for the kids, while indirectly funding some kids’ fun through charity. He was basically the patron saint of excessive celebration: St. Ochocinco.

There was one time where Ochocinco pleaded to the shield to not fine him. No, like he seriously type up a message on a piece of bright orange poster board, saying please don’t fine me. Turns out that didn’t work at all, as the patron saint of excessive celebration had to put five figures on the NFL’s table by Tuesdayweek.

This failed plea and the petty Hall of Fame jacket are the two things besides the fictitious name change to a Spanish number that doesn’t even exist because ocho and cinco are two different numbers define Ochocinco’s NFL career. He caught a lot of touchdowns too, but only his celebrations were memorable. Imagine what he could have done if the Bengals won a playoff game.
