15 NCAA mascots that deserve an animated TV series

Name of Show: The World According to Bevo

Of all the mascots that made the cut, Bevo deserves the most love. Like UGA from UGA, Bevo’s been through a lot of recent bad news, but it never seems to slow the tradition down. And as bad as a rap sheet that bulls have in events, such as Pamplona, Bevo keeps calm and watches college football games at Memorial Stadium.
The World According to Bevo is an animated series, where the Longhorns mascot personalizes everything around him, including his perceptions about the outside world. He’s fascinated, yet annoyed, with the degree of attachment that humans have with technology. It affects him directly, since people are always wanting to tag him in a photo that they took with Bevo. He doesn’t want that fame.
Another thing that Bevo feels strongly about is his hometown football team and how they compare to other programs. Bevo has this presumption that Texas is the crown jewel of all football players and that it’s unfair that others are trying to keep up. One side hobby of Bevo’s is turning that sort of stuff into stand-up routine, impersonating those, like Nick Saban and Urban Meyer. If there’s one thing that Bevo does not lack, it’s a sense of humor.
The World According to Bevo is a mix of Brian from Family Guy and Roger (minus the drinking problem) from American Dad. Because of those correlations, it wouldn’t be a surprise if Seth MacFarlane decided to include Bevo in his list of productions. After all, MacFarlane is always poking fun at Bevo’s voiceover, Matthew McConaughey, so it’s a match-made in heaven.
