Kevin Love responds to Draymond Green’s comments toward the Cleveland-Golden State NBA Finals rematch from this past October.

Here we go again; the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Golden State Warriors meet for the third straight time in the NBA Finals. In theory, this is what everybody wanted to see. The two teams have produced legendary games in both the Finals and regular season the past three seasons.

Last season’s NBA Finals will always go down in the annals of the NBA. The Warriors, who set a record for wins in the regular season, blew a 3-1 lead to the Cavaliers in heart-wrenching fashion. Draymond Green, in an interview with David Aldridge this past October, spoke about the bitter taste that series had in his mouth and what his plans were if the two teams were to meet again in the NBA Finals.

"“And then, if Cleveland comes out of the east, I want to destroy Cleveland. No ifs, ands and buts about it. But I also know that there’s steps to get to that point. And if and when we get to that point, I want to annihilate them.”"

Cavaliers star Kevin Love didn’t forget those comments and reminded Green he got his wish.

"“He’s one of the most competitive players in the league. He said he wanted us. He has us, starting next Thursday.”"

Perhaps, both comments represent why this NBA Finals match-up is the most hyped in years. Granted, the two teams making it again were nearly solidified once Kevin Durant joined the Warriors. LeBron James and the Cavs have a stronghold on the Eastern Conference, this is his seventh straight NBA Finals appearance.

But as we all know, talking doesn’t mean much if the actions on the court don’t match. Guess we all will wait until Thursday.
