21. Buster Bronco

Horse mascots can really go one of two ways. They look fierce and become an iconic branding tool, or they end up looking like Mr. Ed and that isn’t always a great thing. Buster Bronco is caught in a cross between the two.

He’s had his fair share of the spotlight thanks to the success of the Boise State program over the last decade. However, it’s those giant chompers that stand out and make everyone take notice of this Bronco.

The good news is that Buster here has clearly been brushing and flossing close to three times a day. The bad news is that he looks just a little bit too happy. Perhaps it’s all the success he has seen his team have that has put a permanent smile on his face.

He’s certainly a far cry from Lightning of Middle Tennessee State. That horse is blue and has wings for crying out loud. At least Buster can stake his claim on actually looking like a horse and that’s probably why he’s so happy.

Still, maybe a bit more edge and a little less goofiness could do him some good. Then again, why go against what brings you to the dance? There will be plenty of more that smile down the line. Ride like the wind, Buster.
