14. Demon Deacon

On a most unholy mission, the Demon Deacon of Wake Forest rides into each game on a motorcycle and looks like a total stud in the process. The name Demon Deacon alone is one of the best, but the look is even better.

The long yellow slacks and matching bow tie turn this mascot into one of the goofiest, yet most sadistic ones around. The motorcycle in the routine should pump just about anyone up who loves Wake Forest.

The frizzled white hair and the giant hat cap off what is the perfect look for a man that is about to make bad decisions with the noblest intent. Taking something good and giving it a little edge always creates for a masterpiece.

This is no angel by any stretch of the imagination and it has to be near the top of mascots in the ACC. The constant look of consternation shows where this mascot has been and where it’s likely to continue to go.

In fact, there could very well be a television show based on the origins of this particular mascot in the vain of a Better Call Saul or something of that ilk. The story of where the good went bad and became a vigilante in the process.
