29. Knightro

When it comes to the most unique name of any mascot, Knightro runs away with the award and doesn’t even look back. The Central Florida Knight looks straight out of Game of Thrones and has the name of a professional wrestler.

Those are the qualities that make Knightro a legend. His helmet looks almost like that of a defensive tackle and the eyes have a look that could kill. It’s so over the top and cartoon-like that this is goofy, to say the least.

It almost is a miracle that someone is able to move around in a suit like the one Knightro has. Nonetheless, it might be strange and different but that’s what makes it worthy of being one of the top 30 goofiest mascots in college sports.

It always seems as if the smaller programs aren’t afraid to take risks with their mascots. There’s a difference between say Knightro and the fact that Richmond has some bat instead of the spider they’re named off of.

However, that might just be Richmond doing everyone a favor and not having a spider walking around. The larger point to all of this is Knightro is on the point and then some. Central Florida hit a home run here.
