Lance McCullers improved to 6-1 with a 2.48 ERA in 11 starts after surrendering just six hits in 11 innings across two starts last week. McCullers tossed five shutout innings and allowed just a single hit May 23 against Detroit, which was his third straight start without allowing a run. The right-hander is 4-0 with a 0.99 ERA in six starts in May.
