DraftKings fantasy golf picks: The Memorial Tournament 2017
$9,000-$10,000
Hideki Matsuyama ($10,000)
One of the most reliable players on the PGA Tour for some time at this point, Hideki Matsuyama has been playing solid, albeit not great, golf as of late. A bit concerning is the fact that he hasn’t been playing all that often. However, his last two finishes are tying for 11th at The Masters and then tied-22nd at THE PLAYERS. He’s expensive for your DraftKings golf picks, but he could pay dividends given what we know the ball-striking genie is capable of.
Adam Scott ($9,800)
After getting cut at the Shell Houston Open, Scott has played in three tournaments through April and May. In that run, he tied for ninth at The Master, tied-36th at the Wells Fargo, and then tied for sixth at THE PLAYERS. At his best it’s no secret that Scott is one of the best golfers in the world. And though he’s not been active, he’s been playing like it most of the year and of late. He’s a less expensive premium option this week at the Memorial.
Matt Kuchar ($9,400)
Matt Kuchar was a good pick for many heading into THE PLAYERS at the beginning of May. However, he let a lot of people down with an 81 in the third round that got his cut with the second wave. However, Kuchar has responded exceptionally well with a tied-ninth at the AT&T Byron Nelson and then tying for 12th at the DEAN & DELUCA. He won at the Memorial in 2013 and has a nice track record here. He should well be a quality DraftKings pick this week.
Patrick Reed ($9,200)
If you had to guess, it’d be a safe bet to say that Patrick Reed would like to forget the month of April in terms of his play. He was cut in all three tournaments he played during the month. Lucky for him, May was a much kinder month. Playing in three tournaments, he didn’t finish worse that tied-22nd, and nearly cracked the top 10 at the Wells Fargo (T12). Though some may say he’s still not in form, he could be a nice pick at the Memorial.
