Corey Dickerson

LF, Tampa Bay Rays

While the Tampa Bay Rays may not end up making the AL Postseason, as the AL East looks to be the best of the three divisions in the Junior Circuit this year, we do need recognize the great play of left fielder Corey Dickerson through their first 55 games this season.

Tampa Bay is actually a game over .500 at 28-27. Dickerson has had a lot to do with this. He is hitting .345/.390/.616 on the season. Dickerson has hit 12 home runs, driven in 25 base runners, scored 38 runs and has a WAR of 2.7.

Paul Goldschmidt

1B, Arizona Diamondbacks

The Arizona Diamondbacks have had a surprisingly strong start to their 2017 MLB season. They find themselves at 32-22 through their first 54 games. Ace Zack Greinke has been dominant on the mound, so of course Arizona’s best position player in first baseman Paul Goldschmidt would be a big reason for their early season success.

Goldschmidt is hitting .308/.436/.562 on the year with 11 home runs and 38 runs batted in. He has scored 43 runs for the Diamondbacks. Through two months of 2017, Goldschmidt boasts a 2.6 WAR for Arizona.
