Notable Moments:
- The line “Bond. James Bond” is first used at a baccarat table, when Bond introduces himself to Sylvia Trench.
- After arriving at the Kingston airport, Bond notices that he is being followed. He jumps his pursuer, only to learn that it has been a misunderstanding. Bond was followed by a man named Quarrel, on behalf of Felix Leiter, a CIA agent who has been tasked to help Bond.
- R.J. Dent, working for Dr. No, attempts to kill Bond by placing a tarantula in his bed.
- On his way to meet Miss Taro, Bond is chased across winding dirt roads by a black sedan. He eludes the other vehicle by driving his sports car under a steel beam. The sedan suddenly veers off the road, down an embankment, and explodes.
- When Bond meets bikini-clad Honey Rider on a beach at Crab Key, she asks, “And what are you doing here? Are you looking for Shells?” Bond replies, “No. I’m just looking.”
- At dinner, Dr. No demonstrates what his steel hands are capable of, when he crushes a metal ornament at the dinner table.
- At Dr. No’s lair, Bond escapes a holding cell by crawling through an air shaft.
- Bond disrupts Dr. No’s plan by causing an overload of the nuclear reactor. The two fight, with Bond knocking Dr. No into a boiling pool of water.
