The Rockies fell out of first place after losing two games at home against the Mariners to begin the week and dropping first game of the second half of the series in Seattle. However, three wins over their next four games coupled with three losses for the Dodgers and four by the Diamondbacks helped Colorado regain the top spot in the division.
Charlie Blackmon lost his lead in the MLB RBI race, having driven in just two runs during the week. However, Blackmon continued to set the table for Colorado, hitting .310/.364/.517 and tying Gerardo Parra, Trevor Story and D.J. LeMahieu for the team lead with nine hits.

Jeff Hoffman allowed one run on three hits Sunday to help the Rockies beat San Diego 3-1 on the road and stay in first place. Hoffman struck out nine to pick up his third win of the season. He has a 2.61 ERA in four appearances (three starts), with 26 strikeouts and just two walks in 20.2 innings. Opponents have hit .176 with 13 hits and Hoffman has a sparkling 0.73 WHIP so far this season.
