Nintendo has revealed the new Nintendo Direct is coming on Tuesday and will focus entirely on Pokemon.

We’re officially one week away from E3 2017. Like every year, we know Nintendo will have a huge presence on the show floor. It’s strange the company is having a Pokemon Nintendo Direct a week prior, though. This raises a lot of questions about what Nintendo wants to showcase at the show and what the focus will be on. Regardless, we aren’t complaining and we’re interested to see what Pokemon news will be announced. This has led to plenty of speculation.

Before we get into that, the presentation is only eight minutes long. Whatever Nintendo is going to show, it won’t be much. It can either focus entirely on one Pokemon-related thing, or it can breeze through a few announcements. What we’re thinking is some additional content for Pokemon Sun and Moon, a reveal on some Pokemon GO updates or maybe even a Pokemon game on the Nintendo Switch.

In reality, all of these are possible. We know Pokemon GO is getting ready to roll out a huge update in the coming months. Maybe that’s what the direct will be about. Pokemon Sun and Moon has been out for almost a year now, so some additional content may be in order. Last but not least, a Pokemon Switch game has been rumored for months now. We may see something on that.

Like we said, it’s very strange that Nintendo is hosting a direct a week prior to the biggest gaming show of the year. We’re hoping Nintendo has much more in store at E3.

Be sure to tune into the Pokemon direct tomorrow at 10 a.m. ET.
