3. Brooklyn Nets

There’s one reason why this works, and it’s a good one. If Redick seeks money, the Nets have plenty of it.

According to HoopsHype, Brooklyn has the most cap flexibility this offseason. They could gut their whole team and sign all new players and it wouldn’t change a single thing. They’re cemented in basketball purgatory for the time being. At least, until they can get their lottery picks back. Until then, it’s vet minimums and Jeremy Lin.

While Redick can’t fix the Nets, he can be the star on the team. Next to Brook Lopez, Redick will arguably be the best player on the team. They probably won’t be a playoff team but at least a little bit more competitive. It’s not a winning situation,  but Redick could possibly swing $20+ million a year in Brooklyn, so it could be worth it to him.
