NBA Free Agency 2017: 5 potential destinations for J.J. Redick
By Noah Torr
1. Los Angeles Clippers
The Clippers are honestly Redick’s team for success. While he may never win a title in LA, he won’t win in New York with either the Knicks or the Nets. If he seeks a ludicrous contract with a bad team, he won’t be seeking a title in the first place.
Here’s the hypothetical argument for Redick to stay in Los Angeles from the Clippers front office.
“Look, we understand your frustration with us the last few years. You, along with Chris and Blake, are vital to our success as a team. I’m not entirely sure where we would be without your stellar shooting ability. I know we can’t match the offers that you’re receiving from other teams, but I can offer you something irreplaceable: family. When DeAndre almost signed his contract with the Mavericks instead of with us, we all banded together and convinced him that he needs LA as much as we need him. I, we need you here J.J. Please give serious consideration to our offer.”

The Clippers can’t lose Redick, and Redick would look silly in any other NBA jersey.
If Redick does in fact leave, we will be watching 82 games of Austin Rivers starting at shooting guard. Lord help us all.
