2. Believeland

Say what you want about the phrase “Believeland”, but it’s not wrong. The city of Cleveland believes.

Don’t believe me? Listen to Quicken Loans Arena toward the end of Game 4:

We all heard it. When the Cavs had secured the game, their fans filled Quicken Loans Arena with the sounds of a particular J.R. Smith tweet from Game 3. The tweet was since deleted, but Cleveland doesn’t forget:

“Cavs in seven.”

Just ask Smith how that made him feel. He loved it, as I’m sure the entire Cavs team did. Think about it: this team is down 3-0 in the NBA Finals and their city still believes. Upon hearing that, if you’re a Cavs player, you have to bring the series back to Cleveland for Game 6. Just ask the stadium’s security team.

The series will move back to Oracle Arena for Game 5 on Monday. However, should the Cavs force a Game 6, the series shifts to Cleveland for the final time on Thursday.

The Cavaliers have a city behind them. After last year’s historic comeback, Cleveland feels no need to panic, they know nothing else but believing in their team. Between the “Cavs in seven” chants and all of the 3-1 jokes directed at the Warriors, perhaps the momentum of the series is shifting.

And if Cavs fans needed another reason to back their team, one of the Warriors’ Big Four just insulted their entire city.

If there is a Game 6, Believeland will be out in full force. Watch out Warriors.
