It is time again for our weekly look at news in the world of James Bond.

Headlines

  • James Bond films will soon be available for streaming in 2018 Honda mini-vans. The MGM-owned EPIX film channel announced an agreement with Honda for the streaming service. Spectre will be available immediately. It is unclear if or when other Bond films will be available, though it is highly likely.
  • In an episode of the Late Late Show, making a special appearance in London, James Corden and guest David Beckham squared off in a competition to become the next James Bond. See the clip below:

  • With Tom Hardy accepting a role in Disney’s live-action version of Aladdin, questions now surround his availability to play Bond.
  • Another actor who has attached himself to playing James Bond? Tom Holland, who will appear in Spider-man: Homecoming. Holland revealed in Interview magazine his desire to play Bond. 
  • June 8th marked the 34th anniversary of the release of Octopussy. 
  • Riley Keough, who co-stars with Daniel Craig in Logan Lucky, revealed that Craig didn’t break character during the film’s shoot, providing much comic relief for the cast and crew.
  • There are no new developments on the production of Bond 25. At last report, five studios were vying for the rights to distribute the film. Neal Purvis and Robert Wade are working on the script.
