Before Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Final, Faith Hill sang the national anthem with a special appearance by husband Tim McGraw.

Perhaps no duo defines country music more than the power couple of Faith Hill and Tim McGraw. Between the two, they might be the most popular male and female country singers of the past 20 years excluding Garth Brooks. Before Game 6 between the Pittsburgh Penguins and Nashville Predators, Hill sang the national anthem. Despite having a bad microphone, she absolutely killed it. After the anthem, McGraw came out waving two towels to pump up the Predators crowd.

Nashville has trotted out some impressive anthem singers throughout the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Just this series, Kelly Clarkson and Dierks Bentley have sang the Star Spangled Banner. But Hill’s performance is without question the best fans have seen so far this postseason. And she did it despite having an awful microphone. Hill continues on despite knowing the mic is bad like a true professional.

Entering Game 6, the Predators are in a must win scenario. They trail the Penguins 3-2 in the series. However, maybe a trip back home is all the Predators need to force a decisive Game 7. But even if they win Game 6, they have to win in Pittsburgh for the last game of the series. And considering the home team has won every game entering Game 6, that doesn’t bode too well for Nashville.

Pittsburgh is trying to become the first team of the salary cap era to repeat as Stanley Cup champions. It’s been a long and hard road for them, especially after losing star defenseman Kris Letang. However, the Penguins are just one game away from winning. They’re hoping to finish the Predators off sooner rather than later. However, Nashville’s fans don’t seem ready for the season to end.
