It was a pretty quiet week for the team with the best record in baseball. Houston’s 11-game winning streak came to an end in Kansas City Tuesday night when closer Ken Giles blew a save opportunity and surrendered a walk-off home run to Mike Moustakas. The Astros split four games against the Royals before returning home, where they lost two of three to the Angels.

Brian McCann led the club with three home runs and eight runs scored during the week. McCann added six RBI while hitting a team best .474/.476/1.053 in five games. Nori Aoki had six hits, including No. 2,000 for his career when counting his stats as a professional in Japan.
