2. Danny Lee

Danny Lee has just one PGA Tour win in his career, which obviously doesn’t make the New Zealander. What’s more, his start to 2017 was nothing short of terrible. Lee opened up the year missing four of the first five cuts in the tournaments that he played. However, what you have to like about Lee coming into the second major of the year is the fact that he’s been coming on strong as of late.

Though Lee missed the cut at THE PLAYERS, his overall showings as of late have been quite promising. He tied for 14th at the Zurich Classic, tied for fifth at the AT&T Byron Nelson and finished sixth at the DEAN & DELUCA. Though he just barely cracked the top 50 at the last two tournaments that he played, his performance as of late has been quite promising.

When you look at his statistical performance, Lee’s numbers are a bit skewed because of his early-season struggles. With that being said, his best performances of the year of late have seen him strike the ball well. On a difficult course where things could go awry if you mishit the ball, that could be critical. If Lee is in form, he should be able to put himself in contention for his first major championship.
